I live in Tokyo.
Back when parking was expensive, I got my motorcycle license and started touring on a 250cc bike. That’s when I fell in love with being on the road.
Since then, I’ve continued to enjoy the open-air experience with a series of convertibles — the Eunos Roadster, Peugeot Cabriolet, and now BMW Z4.
There’s nothing quite like driving my favorite roads in a convertible, with my favorite music playing and the volume turned up. That’s my idea of a perfect time.
If even one more person can relate to that feeling, I’ll be genuinely happy.

01 | Soya Hills, Hokkaido
The road is narrow, but somehow, it gets me every time.
02 | Tatsudomari Line, Aomori
Just before the mountain pass, there’s a spot where the earth seems to curve away into the distance. It gives me goosebumps every time.
03 | Yamanami Highway, Ooita
As someone who loves rolling hills, this one simply had to make the list.
